Bourne House
Wadesmill, Herfordshire
A house and stables in a rural location. The house is designed to sit discreetly in the landscape while taking advantage of striking views across the valley.
Originally designed in a curved form, the house was amended to be rectangular as a result of discussions with the planning authority. Despite this change the design intentions were retained, with the main roof in copper, a "green" sedum roof over the stables blending the house into the hillside, and walls of brick, copper and timber
